Zeiss Deltarmo reticule
« on: July 25, 2017, 10:38:18 PM »
Hi, I recently found a Zeiss Deltarmo wide angle monocular. I was surprised to see it has been fitted with a reticule. Can anyone identify whether this reticule was for military or civilian use and what it may have been used for please? The scales are numbered 0-20-40-60 and appear along the bottom and right hand side of the field of view. Sorry for the poor quality of the photo.

Hi Simon,

This is definately a German artillery reticle, using the Strich system. "20" means 20 meters wide or high at a distance of 1000 meters etc. To my knowledge you won't find these in civ bino's.

Best regards,
