Although this PPE sight is dated from 1975, I'm convinced it's a reworked sight from WW2 (I have one marked Ross somewhere) - notice the milled out area near the name. It's now coated, has dessication ports fitted and gives a superb and clear 13 degrees fov.

I've also seen an A.K. & S version (Kershaw and Sons)

Niall , what were these mounted on in the Falklands war ?

Weren't they on a director sight? I'd have to rummage through my files but I've seen the WW2 ones pictured somewhere. ;)
