Wow Alex, I did not know this Huet .... here is an image of my 2 child, note the focusers of '53' ....

Certainly useful Giovanni, even if I personally do not approve these reworkings on historical optics   :-\  Or course only my opinion !

Rodolfo I understand you.  I did not touch the '59. The 53 but now has new life, perfectly usable in all contexts with the focusers free to rotate and a clear image, free from the reticular, a real enjoyment.

Dear Giovanni,
I am impressed with your focusers on the modified huets! Did you make those yourself and or do you have drawings or such that could be transmitted for me to make them? I assume they are easy to remove and restore the unit to original condition? Thanks!

I must confess; I never use  my Huet 8x40.  :(
It has this yellow tinting to the picture, just like the binoculars from the Warschaw pact countries
 used to have.

Dear Robert,

are you sure that isn't some lens problem ? My Huet 8x40 (1953) give absolutely neutral image.

Hi Eric. Nothing difficult. The o-rings must be removed to make them mobile. Then these shells are made at the lathe and they are interlocking. At any moment it is possible to remove them and re-do everything.
